Creator Doctus project brought to Nida Art Colony more than 30 doctoral candidates and their supervisors from 6 art schools in Europe: Gerrit Rietveld Academie & Sandberg Institute, Athens School of Arts, l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy, Vilnius Academy of Arts, Merz Akademie, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
Participants together for 3 days and nights were testing various models of 3rd cycle education not only in theory but also in practice. Among their activities was Fluxus inspired Vinyl record making, Burroughs inspired cutting-up of the newly produced Creator Doctus publication (manual), immersing into local environment by swimming & philosophy as well as whisking making & and sauna workshops. International community was also brought together by collective dining activities. They facilitate horizontal exchange between artists- doctoral-students and artists-supervisors.
The meeting was convened by Vytautas Michelkevičius, co-curated by David Quigley and Georgios Papadopoulos and hosted by NAC and its director Egija Inzule. Thanks for catering to Delta mityba & Gabija. More on the project http://creatordoctus.eu/
