Giorgio Ruggerigiorgioruggeri91[eta]gmail.com Kūrybinis projektas: Open History The thesis explores emerging practices within the field of Digital History aimed to exploit the World Wide Web as a space for supplementing, expanding, and challenging conventional historical scholarship. Issues concerning data access, visualization and interactive narration are addressed through a mapping of cutting-edge history websites. The analyses, conducted through the lens of visual communication design, suggest the need for enhanced collaborations between historians and visual communication designers. / Šis diplominis darbas tiria šiuolaikines skaitmeninės istorijos iniciatyvas, kurių tikslas – pasitelkti žiniatinklį kaip erdvę pildyti, plėsti ir mesti iššūkį konvekcinei istorijos sklaidai. Problemos, susijusios su duomenų prieinamumu, jų vizualizacija bei interaktyviu pasakojimu apibrėžiamos nagrinėjant pažangiausių istorinės tematikos internetinių svetainių veikimą. Pastaroji analizė, atlikta iš vizualinės komunikacijos dizaino perspektyvos, išryškino poreikį skatinti bendradarbiavimą tarp istorikų bei dizainerių. |

Marina Taibermanmaryna.taiberman[eta]gmail.com Kūrybinis projektas: Designing visual solution for postmodern tourism in Vilnius. The author explores the use of use mapping as a tool to help postmodern tourists in their search for 'authenticity' as they navigate the city. She uses the idea of ‘getting lost’ as a practice to become ‘truly present’, utilizing critical mapping as her main method and practice, also evoking the notion of ‘schooling’ in getting lost. She applies these theoretical and practical tools to ideas of magic and sentimentality, and tries to find ways in which ‘getting lost’ can be expressed; using different computer technologies. |

Olga Listunovaola.listunova[eta]gmail.com Kūrybinis projektas: Recycled Everything: Production of Alternative Scenarios for Existence. This is a design research of a new emerging field - Design of Differences, which offers alternative practices of design with a range of effectively incorporated transdisciplinary perspectives. It emerges to clearly identified social needs and highlights discussions among current recycling trend, connects with further deep research on the level of recycling’s fundamental idea to contest existing reality by producing new different reality. Recycled Everything is a new recycled reality, intentionally constructed and takes place between real and virtual, while the participation is real, so the whole reality is never closed upon itself and all elements are being changed and recycled at the same time by connecting with other elements in order to perform unity. Recycled Everything gives a freedom to discover much more complex contexts in all scales of life, unfold alternative scenarios for present and future, initiate dialogue between all living domains involved in design process, produce differences. New shared values are created: we are no more interested in original shape of things, but we want to know how deep we can go in what we see and what we can become.
