DOMINIKA CZERNIAK-CHOJNACKA is a Polish illustrator, poster artist and assistant professor at the Studio of Publishing Illustration within the University of Arts in Poznań.
Dominika is the founder and coordinator of Bookcase: meetings with authors and books, a project promoting unpublished books in Poland. As well as illustrating books and designing posters, Czerniak-Chojnacka runs art workshops for children. She collaborates with various publishing houses (Dwie Siostry, Albus, Egmont, Babaryba) and cultural centres in Poland.
In 2019, her book Chimney Sweeper and Baker for youngest readers received the prestigious international Bologna Ragazzi Award. The book was also awarded the grand jury prize at the Ananas Illustration Contest during the Beijing International Book Fair. Czerniak-Chojnacka was also the recipient of the Young Poland government scholarship for young artists in 2020 and was awarded 3rd prize at the 17th International Poster Biennale in Mexico in 2022.
