Support related to individual needs
Consultations related to individual needs arising from a community member’s disability are provided by the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinator Martynas Arlauskas. Consultations are offered both in-person at the Vilnius Faculty and remotely across the entire Academy.
"Vilnius Academy of Arts values the diversity of its community, seeing it as a catalyst for creativity, innovation, unique perspectives, and social responsibility. In response to challenges arising from disability or reduced participation, the Academy is committed to enhance environmental conditions and address individual needs throughout the study process. While the academic content of studies cannot be reduced based on individual needs, strategies such as adapted formats of information, extended deadlines, individual assessments, changes to study spaces, and assistance in coordinating the study process may be implemented. We recommend informing the Academy about the need to individualize the study process at least two weeks before the semester begins, and no later than two weeks after it starts," says Martynas.
