State-funded applicants
If you are an EU (EEA) citizen, a foreign citizen holding a permanent residency of the Republic of Lithuania, a foreign citizen completing a senior secondary school in Lithuania by following the Lithuanian educational programme, or a Lithuanian national residing abroad, and wish to apply for a state-funded place, you must submit an online application via the centralized admissions system, which opens on the 1st of June, 2025. Financial support for Ukrainian citizens
The Ukrainian applicants, who have either a) completed senior secondary schools in Ukraine, or b) completed senior secondary schools in Lithuania, but followed the Ukrainian educational programmes, are only eligible to apply for a fee-paying place at VDA. In this case, the applicants are advised to follow the VDA application process. VDA strongly supports Ukrainian citizens and offers a 50% discount for the study tuition when applying to BA full-degree study programmes, as well as a payment option for the study tuition in monthly installments in 2025 to Ukrainian citizens, who do not qualify for a state-funded place.
State-funded applicants
Holders of foreign BA-level qualifications may be admitted to state-funded MA studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts if they are:
Important: in order to apply for a state-funded place, every applicant must take entrance exams at the Academy. Date of the exam - 3rd - 4th of July, 2025. Exams are arranged remotely for international applicants. More information will be provided after the submission of the application. Those, who cannot attend the exam, will not qualify for a state-funded place and can only apply as fee-paying applicants (no exceptions are granted).
Scholarships for Full-time Master Degree Studies
Funding under the call can be provided to the citizens of Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan), Georgia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, South Korea, Ukraine, The United States of America, Uzbekistan and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries, 70 grants in total (monthly scholarships and grants covering the study cost), ensuring quotas for citizens of the following countries:
No more than 10 grants are allocated to citizens from any other country, except for citizens of Ukraine and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin. A monthly scholarship is equal to 560 EUR. The grant covering the study cost is limited to and cannot be higher than the national standard study cost.

Please note that when applying for a scholarship, a candidate must have an official letter of pre-acceptance for full-time Master’s degree studies from VDA.
In order for us to issue a pre-acceptance letter, you are obliged to submit ASAP: a portfolio and a statement of the main artistic objectives and concepts for the final MA project and thesis as well as pay the application fee. Other documents must be submitted before the VDA application deadline – 1st July, 2025.
