Right Where We Left Off
Year of creation: 2018-2024
Exhibition time: 27 February 2024 - 14 March 2024
Opening: Tuesday, January 27, 6 pm.

I present a selection of works from the fields of drawing, illustration, comics, posters, and books, created over the past 5-6 years. I do not perceive this concise retrospective as a traditional overview of realized individual works/projects, but rather as a reflection on the continuity of work through the process itself. And that process is characterized by drawing: from sketches on paper or drafts for digital works, to vector drawings and interventions on photographs. The exhibition is simultaneously a contemplation on visual narration, on the language of caricature and comics, on different forms and formats of printing, and the relationship between digital and analog through various aspects of work. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of collaboration and collective work: from local initiatives to ongoing projects related to graphic design, design education, illustration, publishing, and the independent cultural scene. This is also an opportunity to view past work from a completely different perspective: the very idea of collection, selection, and arrangement in the interesting space of the "5 Malunai" gallery prompts a new and different observation and consideration - both of the works themselves and of the relationships among them.
