12 January - 12 February 2024

In the exhibition, I am showing collections of small anthropomorphic sculptures and drawings that explore the metamorphoses that happen to a person, changing their inner world and leaving a trace on the outside. Since the individual's basic reality is subjective, the changes in the external world do not affect him directly, but shape his self-image indirectly, leaving the whimsical consequences of his existence.

Polina Verbytska (1989, Kyiv) - artist and sculptor from Ukraine. She has been creating anthropomorphic sculptures and bas-reliefs since 2012. Polina studied fine art at Drahomanov University, Kyiv, Ukraine. She describes her works as the "ugly realism", because they reflect the conditions of physicality without "esthetic censorship".

Polina's solo exhibitions were in the galleries Transformart (Serbia), Dukley (Montenegro), Karas (Ukraine), IZONE (Ukraine), Barbacan Art Space (Ukraine). Her works are in the private collections in Ukraine, Montenegro, EU countries, USA, Australia.

Now she lives and works in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
