Lembe Ruben | Creation of the World

Exhibition time 7-30 April 2025, VAA Gallery „5 malūnai“
Opening April 7, 5 pm

The world is a huge system, where a human is still not the center of all aspects and does not direct the world with his mind. Who is the Author of everything that happens, the Author of this plot?

Man is dissatisfied with the existing reality and tries to change things according to his will, to create an ideal world. It is unimaginable what would happen if all the wishes of a mistaken person were fulfilled. A new world would be created, completely under the control of people. A world where a person can change everything according to his needs - design nature, change his appearance beyond recognition, virtually resurrect the dead and create new people only from selected individuals. All creation would be subordinated only to a mistaken person.

The model of creation can be simplified to a point and a line. Externally, we are all in a system where there is a point and a line, or state and direction. How does the artificial world fit into this dimension? A person who has taken the place of the creator is still forced to remain in the existing chemical-physical inevitability even after the advent of AI.

Creation can continue as long as sacred unpredictability, error and regression operate.
