"5 Malūnai" gallery participates in the program of the Vilnius galleries weekend "Habits".
The line between what you expect and what you get. The boundary between the art object and the viewer. A boundary that is crossed in order to experience the work.
The exhibition "Eccentric" questions the gallery's exhibition space, the content of which is not available to the human touch or to be fully seen. Inspired by this circumstance, the artists seek to apply the book to this specific space. A book is not only a visual object, but it also contains certain information that can only be assimilated by reading it. The authors of the exhibition consider the phenomenon of boundaries and distance through the book as an installation object that reflects on the environment and the viewer.
The title of the exhibition "Ekscentrika" is a reference to the experience of the exhibition, which does not follow a conscious logic and sequence of events.

The idea of bringing these two young artists together for an exhibition came from the curators of the Vilnius Gallery Weekend's invitation to galleries at this year's VGS to change their spaces by reconsidering their habits. So I can confidently say that if it wasn't for the great idea of VGS, this exhibition would not exist!
