The book can be read differently: by text, sight, touch, memory of the smell, rustling of turning pages, or individualizing – the options are unfathomable. Everyone experiences the book in their own unique way. The researches on the book done by eight master students are composed in the exhibition as if in a novel: memories rescued from oblivion intertwine with the glimmer of the beloved scraps, the soft touch of a scent – intensified; the courage to get one’s fingers dirty contrasts with emptiness, acting as an invitation to touch the implied cleanliness and attempt to clean them; the discovery of small things left behind long ago is enriched by the meanings of today's everyday life, and the contrasts of opposites are intriguing like a detective story.
In this exhibition, the vastness and profoundness of a book are contemplated, and various empirical puzzles are being solved. Maybe, amongst them, you will find this tender feeling that does not give You peace either.

The exhibition is a group show of students from various VAA programs, part of the course “Interpretations of a Book" in the Master's degree program in Graphic art at Vilnius Academy of Arts. Lecturer – prof. A. Dautartaitė-Krutulė.
