Contemporary art fair ARTVilnius’25

Vilnius Academy of Arts gallery “5 Malūnai” presented an exhibition-stand entitled “Collection of Collection Collectors” at this year’s international art fair ArtVilnius’25. The collection features artists Paulina Pukytė, Anton Lukoszevieze, Laima Kreivytė, Dainius Liškevičius, Ieva Babilaitė-Ibelgauptienė, Ričardas Šileika, and Marija Marcelionytė-Paliukė, who collect and create new collections.
“5 Malūnai” gallery also presented a program of performances in the context of the exhibition:
Ieva Babilaitė-Ibelgauptienė, “The fragile weight of a past that nobody needed (± 2 g)”. October 3-4. Six performances in total.
Laima Kreivytė, “Oranges Are Not The Only”. Spoken word performance. October 3 and 5. Four performances in total.
Anton Lukoszevieze, “Duet for voice and record player”. October 5. Five performances in total.
Ričardas Šileika, “Declaration”. October 5. Three performances in total.

An international jury awarded the Vilnius Academy of Arts gallery "5 Malūnai" as one of the seven best galleries at ArtVilnius'25.
On Sunday, October 5, the ArtVilnius'25 art fair joined the Lithuanian cultural community's warning strike "This May Be the Last Time," whose unifying symbol was Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis' symphonic poem "The Sea," which was played at 2 p.m. Artist Paulina Pukytė brought together Vilnius Academy of Arts lecturers, artists, and researchers: Ieva Babilaitė, Marija Marcelionytė-Paliukė, Giedra Mickūnaitė, Paulina Pukytė, and Dovilė Gudačiauskaitė for this action and initiated the performance in the context of the exhibition at the “5 Malūnai” gallery. The participants in the performance wore clothes from Paulina Pukytė's installation "Second (Correction)" (Corrected second-hand clothes, hangers, clothes rack, 2025) presented at the fair. The action "Frozen Culture" was announced at the ArtVilnius'25 art fair by artist and activist Laima Kreivytė.
