VAA support for students and academic staff members from Ukrainian higher education institutions

Dear students, academic staff members and colleagues from Ukrainian higher education institutions,

The war in Ukraine has not only deeply shocked, but also mobilised the entire Vilnius Academy of Arts community. Our hearts and thoughts are with the Ukrainian people. Condemning the horrible and incomprehensible aggression of the Kremlin against Ukraine and its people, we offer our support to our colleagues from the Ukrainian higher education institutions of art (design).

Vilnius Academy of Arts, in cooperation with the institutions and non-governmental organisations of the Republic of Lithuania, offers academic staff members and students of Ukrainian higher education institutions in art (design) to continue their academic, study and creative activities in Lithuania.

If you are a visual arts lecturer from a Ukrainian art (design) higher education institution, we kindly invite you not only to seek refuge in Lithuania, but also to join the Vilnius Academy of Arts academic staff community and teach to the students of our Academy.

If you are a student from a Ukrainian art (design) higher education institution, we kindly invite you to continue your studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts free of charge. Students from Ukraine are already studying here successfully, and we are looking forward to welcoming more.

We do understand that the current duty of every Ukrainian citizen is to defend the Homeland, however, if for some reason you are unable to continue the fight, we would be more than happy to support you and welcome you in our community.

If you would like to join the Vilnius Academy of Arts community, please send an email with your CV and a short introduction to ukraine@vda.lt.
