The Vilnius Academy of Arts invites students, lecturers, and the entire VDA community to welcome the new academic year together!
Festive events will take place at all VDA faculties in Vilnius, Kaunas, Telšiai, and Klaipėda.
Vilnius Faculty
August 31st:
10:00 – Orientation day meeting for newly accepted students with the International Relations Office at the Gothic Hall of the Old Palace building, Maironio St. 6.
September 1st:
10:00 & 15:00 – Individual sessions for newly accepted international full-time and exchange students at the Gothic Hall of the Old Palace building, Maironio St. 6. and Titanikas building Maironio St. 3, auditorium 112.
11:00 & 13:00 – Vilnius Faculty Campus tours for newly accepted international full-time and exchange students.
19:00 – VDA Academic Year Opening Celebration in the Ceramics inner courtyard of the Old Palace, Maironio St. 6.
Kaunas Faculty (September 1st):
12:00 – Academic Year Opening Celebration in the courtyard of the VDA Kaunas Faculty, Muitinės St. 2.
12:30 – Introduction to the departments for first-year students.
15:00 – Opening of the Young Kaunas Painting exhibition at the Muitinė Gallery, Muitinės St. 2.
Telšiai Faculty (September 1st):
14:00 – Academic Year Opening Celebration at the VDA Telšiai Gallery, Kęstučio St. 3-2.
15:30 – Guided introductory tour of Telšiai for first-year students with guide Andrius Dacius. The tour starts at the Žemaitija Tourism Information Centre.
Klaipėda Faculty (September 1st):
10:00 – Academic Year Opening Celebration at the Daržas Gallery of the VDA Klaipėda Faculty, Daržų St. 18.
11:00 – Tour of the faculty spaces and introductory lecture.
