Ieva Trinkūnaitė | En el barrio*
(*In the neighborhood (Esp.)

Why it feels good to be in home?

Playgrounds. There is one in my district. Walking through this neighbourhood you can feel the vitality around you - every moment you hear dog's barking and children’s clamor. For one, perfect home is by the seaside, for others - surrounded by the never ending spontaneity of the city. For me, the perfect home does not have to be by the sea or surrounded by noisy city sounds. Home is created from walking through the streets, desire to know and enjoy what is right next to me - the neighbourhood. I find here a lot of interesting things: unexpected acquaintance, storytellings from local people. Neighborhood residents invite and encourage to learn something new. Findings in residence happens to be more precious than dreamy life by the seaside. Though I don’t know, where it takes me every time, I no doubt got involved in my home’s running time and allow to be a part of them. This home’s identity, which I tell through images, is created by myself, but it also reflects my personality, which was recognized by this home. They/I create an image that they/I enjoy. I am grateful to my passengers that I met, thanks to them, I find something ever more surprising and inspiring. I like to watch it all and live among such characters.
