Until December 31st 2025, VDA library subscribes to Routledge Performance Archive. Every six months it is updated by international academic publisher Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group), collaborating with well-known and beginning creators, institutions that collect recordings of performances (Peter Hulton’s Arts Archives and Victoria & Albert Museum), and audiovisual art streaming platform Digital Theatre. The database content is curated by an academic editorial board and advisors.
Some performances have commentaries, audio transcriptions, additional information, and biographies from The Routledge Companion to Theatre and Performance (Paul Allain and Jen Harvie, 2006 m.). The database includes the last five decades, 160 hours of video and audio recordings, and recordings of masterclass courses and conversations with performers and critics.
Performance subjects: acting and actors training; comedy; dance; form and genre; performance art, live art performance; political theatre and performance; popular theatre and performance; theatre making process.
Newest additions to „Routledge Performance Archive“: The Physical Actor (Annie Loui's), Directions for Directing: Theatre and Method (Avra Sidiropoulou's), Short Plays with Great Roles for Women (Suzette Coon's), Chekhov in an Age of Uncertainty and Postmodernist Aesthetics (Maria Shevtsova's), and excerpts from Contemporary Rehearsal Practice: Anthony Neilson and the Devised Text (Gary Cassidy's).
