Huge congratulations to Milda Abraitytė for winning Silver at the ADC*E Student Awards 2025! Milda won in the Illustration category with her Master's project, the graphic novel "Sekcija" (Glass Cabinet), supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rūta Mickienė.
Here is what Milda says about the project:
"I was born in Independent Lithuania, yet the shadows of the Soviet era have followed me all my life. [...] The graphic novel Sekcija is an attempt to convey the roots of our collective Lithuanian trauma through visual storytelling. [...] We cannot erase our past... but by collectively acknowledging and talking about it, we can gradually overcome (or shatter) the fear of the past to break free from these invisible but powerful shackles."
