Cache | kaʃ | a temporary digital storage where frequently accessed data is held, prepared to be accessed, retrieved or overwritten.

The exhibition Cache reimagines memories as digital artifacts: sometimes they accelerate processes, other times they clutter the system, crippling its functionality. The significance of these artifacts is more often felt, than fully understood. Through new media and analog techniques, the artists confront the fleeting nature of memory, marking both positive and negative recollections – from nostalgic card games, schools, dance floors, friendships, and bike rides to darker fragments like violence against animals and people, digital overload, and the erosion of memory itself.

Visitors are invited to explore, interact with, and reinterpret typographic installations, forming their own connections to the psychological, social, and cultural themes. Here, memory is not static – it is a dynamic process of fading and renewal, where each recollection exists as a file waiting to be opened, altered, or lost.

Grand Opening: January 14, 2026, 6:00 PM VDA Gallery "Akademija" (44 Pilies St., Vilnius)
