The exhibition “You Number My Wanderings” reflects the artist’s personal journey into sacred femininity, unfolding through a fusion of mysticism, ritual, and embodied memory. Emerging from a practice grounded in drawing, poetry, object-making, and intuitive research, the exhibition body takes its final form as an immersive installation, where image, text, and material presence become an act of devotion.

The research behind the works traces a spiritual lineage from ancient Goddess traditions to Christian mysticism, mapping a continuum in which the works act as vessels of devotion, gathering fragments of ancestral resonance, spiritual inquiry, and embodied remembrance.

Inspired by the visions of female mystics, the gestures of saints, and the whispered knowledge of esoteric traditions, the scenography centres around Mary Magdalene—her myth, mystery, and teachings—filtered through the artist’s intimate spiritual connection with her.

This exhibition becomes a contemplative offering: a sacred threshold where personal and collective memory converge, and the radiant feminine is reawakened as a bridge toward communion with the divine.

An interdisciplinary artist, Liudvika Sonia Koort (b. 1994), works with various media such as drawing, object art, and poetry, expressing herself through a universal language of symbols, forms, and metaphors. Through this language, she explores corporeality, the experience of intuitive knowledge, and the magical, sacred, and empirical aspects of everyday human life.

She is currently studying for an MA in Contemporary Sculpture at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Although she began her creative path as a theatre scenographer and later transitioned to an individual artistic practice, she has retained a strong focus on the relationship between object and space, as well as on the space itself in which she creates.

Opening or the exhibition will take place on May 30th (Friday) at 6 PM at the VAA Artifex Gallery (Gaono St. 1, Vilnius).

The exhibition at the VAA gallery ARTIFEX will be open until June 20th.
During Culture Night, the gallery will be open until midnight.
