This week, already in Kaunas, the project "Kaunas and Grenoble - architectural signs of the 21st century" continues. What's next?". A few weeks ago in Grenoble, France, the students and teachers of the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Kaunas, from one of the strongest French higher schools of architecture, "École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Grenoble", are visiting Kaunas. The guests started their stay with a tour "Kaunas modernism" around the center of Kaunas and Lower Freda, where they started collecting material for future creative sessions.

During the creative sessions, both in Kaunas and Grenoble, it is expected to strengthen the connection and present the cities' historical, social, urban, architectural development, ecological situation, current cultural and artistic achievements, the latest (21st century) development, future plans and visions, existing and anticipated problems and challenges.

Joint project "Kaunas and Grenoble - 21st century architectural signs. What's next?" aims to present the culture of Kaunas and promote the knowledge of Lithuanian culture by revealing the peculiarities of Lithuanian city architecture to a wide Grenoble public: architects, designers, historians, scientists, the young generation, and to project visions of future cities. The aim is to develop the academy's international cooperation and further integrate Lithuanian higher education into the European university space.

The project "Kaunas and Grenoble - architectural signs of the 21st century. What's next?" is part of Lithuania's season in France.
The Lithuanian season in France is a program created in partnership between Lithuania and France, which will introduce the French public to modern Lithuania and its culture through various forms of culture and art, discussions and presentations. The project aims to initiate long-term cooperation between Lithuanian organizations and developers with French partners. The season program is united by the idea "The other is the same": an invitation to see yourself in the other through the project's activities in France. The program, which has brought together artists, thinkers and public figures, will cover a wide range of contemporary cultural phenomena, media and current topics, engage in creative pursuits and reflect on the past, present and possible future scenarios.
