The exhibition of performance art video works "NŪDIENA"
On May 3rd, in Pori, Finland, an exhibition was opened named "NŪDIENA". As the title suggests, it's a collection of present moments captured through the eyes of cameras, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on both internal and external processes of the present.
The exhibition discusses the desire to delve deeper, discover oneself, affirm one's identity, and wash away societal expectations and roles. While we aim to heal the earth, and ourselves, and regain security and attachment, "NŪDIENA" offers the opposite – the impact of anxiety, fear, and complete annihilation on people, landscapes, and territories. The video recordings of "NŪDIENA" in the exhibition are moments of live performances, fleeting moments in time that have turned into something "constant", recordings that persist as long as video files and the devices that play them exist. Time, as one of the essential elements of performance art, now becomes an extended and repeatable moment.
"NŪDIENA" is the result of a decade-long collaboration between the creative and curatorial duo Kainulainen & Latva and Vaida Tamoševičiūtė.

When the earth whispers and aches beneath our feet, we strive to remain in the present and reflect in our actions what touches us, moves us, and changes us from within...
