Lecturer of the "Textiles and Fashion" program of the Kaunas Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, textile artist Prof. Laima Oržekauskienė, doc. Lina Jonikė, Assoc. Monika Žaltauskaitė Grašienė opened an exhibition at the Heptagon gallery, entitled "Tex3Angles" in Kyoto, Japan. Symbolically, this gallery is located in Kyoto's weaving district. The exhibition is part of the more than two-decade-long cooperation between Kaunas Faculty teachers and their Japanese colleagues.

The artists also visited the Kyoto City University of Arts, where during the official visit they met with the head of the Craft Department, prof. Fujino Yasuko and the department's lecturer prof. Machiko Agano. Cooperation and exchange plans were discussed during the meeting.

And of course, when traveling around the Land of the Rising Sun, it is impossible not to be interested in local artists, their work and ideas. The artists visited the retrospective exhibition of one of the most famous Japanese fiber artists, Kobayashi Masakazu, at the National Museum of Modern Art and met with colleagues, textile artists and curators.
