The exhibition "Sustainable Crash" by VAA Kaunas faculty master's students was opened on Friday afternoon in the conservatory of the Kaunas Botanical Garden.

The exhibition aims to emphasize the concept of sustainability, which spreads through artistic and functional ideas. This exhibition, organized for the third time, develops the themes of sustainable life, consumption habits, and ecological ethics. These themes relate to the exploration and understanding of the natural world, learning from natural systems and applying them to creative ideas and experimental interpretations of materials. The researchers-artists individually chose the material that is directly related to the master's topics they are developing: about modern design, the multifunctionality of the object, the psychological state of the person, image myths, the evolution of absorption methods and other problem areas. The fields of research have evolved into new forms of creative experimental matter, objects and connections, which are associated with the suggestion to discover a new point of view, an unexpected solution, to know or find oneself in the stories told by the artists. This year, the apocalyptic mood of the artists became particularly evident, we destroy something and put it back together again, and it is not by chance that the title "Sustainable Crash" speaks for itself. Covering the states of an overburdened and overburdened world.

It is not by chance that the exhibition is exhibited in the conservatory of the VMU Botanical Garden, where the world of plants containing both botanical, historical and semantic meanings is interspersed. This context is particularly important in understanding, exploring and re-creating materials, turning them into art forms and using them to create sustainable environments and ways of living. The world of plants dictates new creative forms and teaches humanity to understand the existence and behavior of other systems.

The exhibition "Sustainability blow" which unites artists from different disciplines is part of the lecture series "Sustainability strategies and experimental material surface design" (Director: Textile Art and Media Program Assoc. Monika Žaltauskaitė Grašienė) for master's students of VAA Kaunas Faculty.

Participants of the exhibition are graduate students: Oleksandra Linchevska, Dominykas Šimkūnas, Jessica Mockapetris, Emilija Čibiraitė, Indrė Davainytė, James Amatus, Elona Čečytė.
