Artist Joanna Bentkowska-Hlebowicz's painting exhibition – "UOSTAS"
The artist Joanna Bentkowska-Hlebowicz's exhibition "UOSTAS" (PORT) opened! Joanna Bentkowska-Hlebowicz: lecturer at the Warmia-Masuria University in Olsztyn, painter, member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP). This exhibition, like many others in the artist's career, exploring the relationship with ports, infrastructure, development, and how they connect with people.
Joanna Bentkowska-Hlebowicz mainly works with painting techniques. She is particularly drawn to the industrial landscape, mostly themes of port infrastructure. Her main creative goal is the exploration of the port and its various aspects – from the land's relationship with the sea to the rich symbolism of maritime elements. In her works, the artist pays the most attention to the structure of ships and the port, often omitting the water itself. She depicts crowded lines, directions, and intersecting contours around flat colors. In her art, she seeks to portray the unrest of the port environment and capture the unique essence of the port.
The exhibition is open until May 3, 2024.
