The idea of the project is to explore different strategies of interactive art that require the active participation of the audience and to map the engagement in an attempt to make interactive art more approachable. I aim to create interactive artworks based on the strategies of interactive art defined by Ryszard W. Kluszczynski while trying to keep active participation in them.

The project explores the question of how to apply the different strategies of interactive art to maintain the active engagement of the audience. It encompasses further analysis of scientific papers on the topic of interactive art, creating prototypes of interactive artworks. The later steps are exploring technical possibilities of sensors and interactive systems to further improve the prototypes and move towards an interactive exhibition. The findings from the exhibition and audience engagement would be both the basis for mapping and for sharing the findings in the form of a paper.

The impact on the area of research would include a better understanding of audience engagement in the field of interactive art and also a better understanding of the possible strategies for creating interactive art, their benefits and limitations and maybe even new strategies of interactive art. Furthermore, it would add new insights to the knowledge about the creation of interactive artworks through a self-reflective process. The practical value is an exhibition of the interactive works and a published paper based on the findings.
