You are welcome to apply to full-degree BA or MA study programmes at the VDA. Feel free to choose up to 3 study programmes in a priority order (study programmes can be chosen at any VDA faculty). More information on How to apply.

For exchange students

If you are a student from a Ukrainian art, design or architecture higher education institution, we kindly invite you to apply and study at Vilnius Academy of Arts as an exchange student. Students from Ukraine are already studying here successfully, and we are looking forward to welcoming more. Please proceed with your online application by choosing the study programme which matches (is the closest match to) your major in a Ukrainian higher education institution you are currently enrolled in and is one of our partner institutions.

Based on the current amendment of the legal act by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania, only those Ukrainian citizens which have completed senior secondary schools in Lithuania and followed the Lithuanian educational programmes, will be eligible to apply for a state-funded place at higher educational institutions in Lithuania in 2026, including the VDA. Those Ukrainian citizens, who comply with this requirement, are kindly advised to fill out the application form via the centralised admission system in Lithuania LAMA BPO. If you need any support or advise when filling out the application, contact us for help at international@vda.lt. Please be kindly informed that there is no guarantee you would be offered to study for free as a full-degree student and/or receive a scholarship. 

The Ukrainian applicants, who have either a) completed senior secondary schools in Ukraine, or b) completed senior secondary schools in Lithuania, but followed the Ukrainian educational programmes, are only eligible to apply for a fee-paying place at VDA. In this case, the applicants are advised to follow the VDA application process. VDA strongly supports Ukrainian citizens and offers a 50% discount for the study tuition when applying to either BA and MA full-degree study programmes, as well as payment option for the study tuition in monthly installments in 2026 to Ukrainian citizens, who would not qualify for a state-funded place.

Vilnius Academy of Arts is offering the possibility to take Lithuanian language courses for all international students and staff members, including Ukrainian citizens. The Lithuanian language courses are free of charge.

The offered Lithuanian Language course levels are from A1 - B2 (for beginners to intermediate).

Courses will be organized at the VDA institution, in-person.

International and incoming exchange students are welcome to use the VDA Moodle learning platform. VDA Moodle is a virtual learning platform where lecturers upload course-related information and assignments. In order to access the platform, please use your VDA email account.
