History and Theory of Arts (LT)

Studies in the history of Lithuanian photography will help future international and Lithuanian artists and art historians to understand Lithuanian history and culture, to see their own artistic work in a wider cultural context and to use their knowledge of the development of Lithuanian photography and its relationship with changing historical, economic, political, social and artistic contexts in their research. By analysing the work of a chosen Lithuanian photographer students will develop their skills in research, analysis, critical thinking, public speech and academic writing.
