VDA Mentorship program

VDA Mentorship program – the joint project of the VDA Student Union and the International Relations Office in which VDA volunteer students help newly admitted VDA foreign students to integrate into the student and academic community life. The Mentorship program is offered to all Vilnius faculty fine arts students, both to Erasmus+ and full-time international students of the VDA (except first-year students). 

WHAT IS A VDA MENTOR?

A student helping newly admitted VDA foreign students to integrate into student life.

WHAT DOES THE VDA MENTOR DO:

  • Welcome the students on the Orientation day and present information about studies, show around the campus, faculties, and study departments;
  • Provide practical information about life in Lithuania;
  • Contribute to activities involving creative and fun events, as well as participate in them;
  • Encourage first-year students to express their selves, as well as create meaningful local and international relations.

WHY BECOME A VDA MENTOR:

  • Receive additional points when participating in admissions to Erasmus+ study exchange;
  • Receive additional points when participating in  KUNO, CIRRUS, NBAA, and other international projects and BIP's;
  • Participate in organized free gallery openings, guided tours, and excursions together with your first-year student group;
  • Diversify your everyday student life - you will have the opportunity to advance your foreign language skills, network, and exchange cultural insight;
  • A mentor can receive a stipend for the mentorship practice.
