We are excited to officially announce that the Vilnius Academy of Arts has joined the UAx Platform — an initiative dedicated to supporting art students and higher arts education institutions affected by the war in Ukraine.
The UAx Platform is the result of a collaborative effort between the "Abakanowicz Arts and Culture Charitable Foundation" (AACCF) and ELIA, the global multidisciplinary network in higher arts education & research, running from 2023 to 2025. We have the privilege of being paired with the esteemed Mykhailo Boychuk Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design from Ukraine. This project is designed to provide crucial support to Ukrainian art students impacted by war, with the overarching goal of enhancing the resilience of higher arts education institutions during times of crisis and recovery.
The VDA will take part in shaping the UAx Sister School network, fostering meaningful connections with Ukrainian higher arts institutions and established ELIA members across Europe. Being a part of this initiative, the VDA will provide mentors to students from the selected institutions in Ukraine and continue to strengthen international relations towards a joint goal.
