The committee chairman of the Lithuanian National Art Museum and the General director Arūnas Gelūnas announced the Lithuanian National Culture and Art prize winners of this year, of which are three VDA community members!
The VDA Painting department professor, former VDA Rector, and painter Arvydas Šaltenis, Art History and Theory department assoc. prof., art researcher, and art critic dr. Laima Kreivytė, and the VDA Photography, Animation, and Media Art department professor, artist, and researcher dr. Darius Žiūra.
The Lithuanian National Culture and Art prize is given to the most significant culture and art creations. Artworks of Lithuanian artists and the Lithuanian Community of the World have been recognized even more over the last 7 years as the long-term creative contibution to culture and art.
