The VDA lecturer, Animation study programme coordinator, doc. Gintarė Valevičiūtė-Brazauskienė, has visited the Anant National University (ANU) in India, Ahmedabad. During the visit a bilateral agreement was signed, which opened a pathway for student and lecturer exchange, workshops, and international art projects between institutions. 

The Anant National University is situated in Ahmedabad, India, where the first design university with a focus towards sustainability, innovation, and interdiscipline education was established in the country. Doc. Gintarė Valevičiūtė-Brazauskienė has presented the Vilnius Academy of Arts and her artwork to the ANU community. Moreover, the lecturer shared information about the Animation study programme, student courseworks, and the curatorial practice at the VDA.

With the initiative of the VDA Rector, prof. Ieva Skauronė, the first official visit of the ANU vice rector Prof. Dr. Anunaya Chaubey and prof. Sekhar Mukherjee is planned on the 9th - 13th of June, during the Graduation Show at the VDA. 

At the end of summer 2025, prof. Žilvinas Lilas and doc. Gintarė Valevičiūtė-Brazauskienė will hold an international workshop "Animation Nation" at the Nida Art Colony. Participants at the workshop will be both lecturers and students from Lithuania, India, Germany, and South Korea. 

In November of 2025, the VDA Animation study programme representatives will travel to the prestigious international student animation festival "Chitrakatha" in India. During the visit, the VDA representatives will present the student artwork projects, as well as strengthen the international partnership relations.

In January - February of 2026, the project in Nida Art Colony is planned to be continued in India during an international creative workshop.
