Over 12,000 Euros raised at the VDA Christmas Art Fair in support of Ukraine

The Vilnius Academy of Arts Christmas Art and Support Fair for Ukraine, held for the fourth time, attracted a large number of contributors and visitors. This year’s event raised more than 12,000 euros, which will be donated to the Miliūtė Foundation (VšĮ Miliūtės fondas).

Alongside many young creators, VDA students, and alumni, several well-known artists and lecturers contributed to the fair: VDA Rector Prof. Ieva Skauronė, Prof. Arvydas Šaltenis, Jonas Maldžiūnas (work submitted by Eglė Maldžiūnaitė), Prof. Rimvydas Kepežinskas, Dr. Vidas Poškus, Assoc. Prof. Jonas Čepas, Assoc. Prof. Matas Jonas Dūda, Prof. Marija Marcelionytė-Paliukė, Assoc. Prof. Elena Grudzinskaitė, Prof. Jolanta Mikulskytė, Assoc. Prof. Ieva Babilaitė Ibelhauptienė, and Sigitas Faraponis.

During the fair, visitors also had the opportunity to purchase Year 2026 calendars created by the VDA Vilnius Faculty Graphic Art department, featuring original graphic prints. All financial contributions from the calendars will also be donated in support of Ukraine.

The Christmas Art Fair was organised by the VDA Vilnius Faculty Graphic Art department, curated by Prof. Jolanta Mikulskytė, together with fellow organisers. Event partners: VDA Press House, Vilnius Graphic Art Centre (VGMC), M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art, gallery “5 Malūnai”, Plastic Boombastic.
