On February 22-25, the VDA took part in the "Vilnius International Book Fair 2024" which was held at the "Litexpo" exhibition centre, Vilnius. 

The VDA Graphic Art Department presented a new creative unique space - the creative laboratory „Įsi-“. which let visitors see and purchase the interactive Pop-up books "Immersion in Mythology".

On the last day of the fair, the winners of the Book Art Competition organized and curated by the Ministry of Culture (since 1996) were awarded, including members of the Vilnius Academy of Arts community.

The main prize of the year was awarded to Agne Dautartaite-Krutule (the Graphic Art Department) for the book "Arūnė Tornau. The End is the Beginning" (compiled by Aistė Kisarauskaitė; published by the Artists Union publishing house "Artseria", printed by the "Standard Impressa").
Also, Agnė Dautartaitė-Krutulė was awarded a diploma for the publication "Mono-Tik" (author: Elena Grudzinskaitė (the head of the Graphic Art department); compiled by Elena Grudzinskaitė, Jurga Minčinauskienė; published by the Vilnius Graphic Art Center; printed by "Standart Impressa").

Book artist, VDA Council member Aurelija Slapšytė, was awarded three diplomas, for the books "Grybo sapnas" (author: Gabija Grušaitė; published by "Lapas"); "Cemetery outside the City, in the Forest. Catholic burial landscapes in the 19th century. In Vilnius" (author Eglė Bazaraitė; published by "Lapas"), "Watch and be watched. Concepts of feminist film theory and comics" (author Natalija Arlauskaitė; published by "Lapas"). Aurelija Slapšytė was also awarded a prize for the book "Wolf, tower and church. Vilnius souvenirs" (compiled by Rūta Miškinytė; published by "Lapas" and Vilnius museum).

The prize was also awarded to Miglė Ceinorytė-Mitašiūnė, (the VDA Kaunas Faculty, Graphic Art Department), for the publication "Women's workshop" (compiled by Cale Garrido; photographers: Silvia Rosi, Katrin Ribbe, Charlotte Schmitz, Katrina Neiburga, Irina Ruppert, Tonje Bøe Birkeland; published by the "Kaunas Photography Gallery"; printed by the "Kopa").
