Vilniuje ir apylinkėse įvyko Vilniaus dailės akademijos Tartptautinių ryšių skyriaus ir Vilniaus fakulteto Architektūros katedros iniciatyva surengta Nordic Baltic Academy of Architecture (NBAA) vasaros stovykla "Think Green. Live Green. Design Green". Joje dalyvavo dvi dešimtys architektūros studentų iš Lietuvos (VDA), Suomijos (Aalto, Tamperės ir Oulo universtetų), Norvegijos (Bergeno architektūros mokykla) bei Latvijos (Rygos technikos universitetas).
Stovyklos dalyviams buvo pasiūlyta priimti įdomų urbanistinį/architektūrinį iššūkį ir patyrinėti kolektyvinius sodus bei jų architektūrą bei pabandyti atsakyti į klausimą - kas šiandien yra kolektyviniai sodai: daržovių auginimo, poilsio, reakreacijos ar gyvenamoji vieta?
Stovyklos be tyrinėjimų kolektyviniuose soduose susipažino su Akademija, išklausė įvadinių dr. Mato Šiupšinsko, doc. Romualdo Kučinsko, dr. Mariaus Daraškevičiaus, architekto Martyno Valevičiaus, doc. Aušros Siaurusaitytės Nekrošienės ir prof. Mariaus Šaliamoro paskaitų bei vizitavo Vilniaus apylinkėse esančius kolektyvinius sodus, Lietuvos liaudies buities muziejų Rumšiškėse.
Ši VDA surengta architektų vasaros stovykla yra pirmoji stovykla, organizuota NBAA tinklo rėmuose, gavus Nordplus/NBAA finansavimą. Projektas yra tęstinis, todėl vasaros stovyklą planuojama surengti 2023 ir 2024 m.
Overall experience was excellent. Week was full of new impressions and professional revelations. Information was updated and distributed very quickly and efficiently. I hope that this summer school will become an annual event. With utmost gratitude I highly recommend this learning experience and suggest future students to take part. I know, at least hope, next year I will participate.

In Vilnius I felt very welcome to the city and university. The professors and everyone working on this course did a great job and noticeable effort to make a meaningful, interesting and fun summer school. It was well organized, and had a good balance between learning and social activities. We went to field trips around Vilnius to see different types of gardening communities, to a big outdoor museum to see and learn about the building and living traditions of Lithuania and we had lectures and worked in groups just to mention some of the many activities in this course. I liked that we slept in the dormitory where the students usually live, and not at some hotel. Got the opportunity to talk with others that lived there and studied at the university. It made the experience more relaxed and down too earth. And in the heart of the old city. The food was excellent!!!! It would have been nice with some more room for discussion after and before the presentation of our final projects. Got a lot of new friends, learned about garden communities and about the beautiful city of Vilnius. Recommend this for other students!
