23 June VAA Department of Doctoral Studies invites to Prof. Dr. Peg Rawes lecture "Planetary relations: living-with, working-with vulnerability".
This talk will present my interdisciplinary practice which focuses on ontological and relational understandings of architecture, design, art, ecology and matter, in order to explore our current conditions of planetary, ecological and societal vulnerabilities.
Peg Rawes is Professor of Architecture and Philosophy at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Her teaching & research examine political, technological and ecological architecture and art. Publications include: 'Dex Stories: Living-with, Working-with, Vulnerability', CARE gta papers 7 (2023); 'Visualising uncertainty and vulnerability', Materia Arquitectura (2020); 'Insecure predictions', e-flux Architecture (2018); Poetic Biopolitics: Practices of Relation in Architecture and the Arts (co-ed., 2016); Architectural Relational Ecologies (ed., 2013); Space, Aesthetics and Geometry (2008); and Irigaray for Architects (2007).
