AimArt History postgraduate study programme seeks to train specialists in the history of art and architecture who are able to raise a hypothesis independently and solve an original problem by carrying out research and applying contemporary research methods and theories. By collaborating with art exhibiting institutions, organisations responsible for cultural heritage protection and cultural media, also by participating in scholarly research projects, postgraduate students learn to work in an interdisciplinary team, solve managerial, academic and creative problems, convey their knowledge and insights orally and verbally as well as realise their creative ideas. After finishing this programme students are able to continue their studies on PhD level. |

Profile of study programmeArt History postgraduate study programme seeks to train specialists in the history of art and architecture who are experts in their chosen area, are able to raise a hypothesis independently and solve an original problem by carrying out research and applying contemporary research methods and theories. By working with the sources of art, photography and architecture, postgraduate students learn to relate their chosen subject with wider cultural processes, social phenomena and philosophical categories. Students have an opportunity to get involved in the public art historical discourse of cultural and general media by collaborating with art exhibiting institutions and organisations responsible for the protection of cultural heritage. While preparing information for art and architecture publications, internet portals of art institutions, presenting at conferences, writing art critical texts, working in archives and museum collections, participating in scholarly research projects and curating exhibitions, students learn to initiate original cultural projects and to apply their knowledge in an integrated way, solve practical and scholarly problems, summarise and convey information orally and by writing art critical, representative and analytical texts. |

Occupational profiles of graduatesThe graduates can work for scientific, educational and research institutions, museums, media, galleries, creative unions, and other institutions involved in the organization of exhibitions as well as pursue their career in the spheres of advertisement, administration and tourism or implement independent creative projects, get involved in translation, and exhibit their works of art. |
