On 9t october at 16:00 Noam Scehcher will deliver an open lecture titled "Bi books".
VDA "Titanic" Maironio str. 3, 112 room.

Designing a multi-language format, that holds Hebrew or Arabic text (which is read right-to-left), together with left-to-right latin, requires a container with bi-directional browsing ability. This can be a real headache for both designer and users — but can also generates creative solutions to the book’s conservative format. In this lecture I will show several solutions for this endemic middle-eastern situation.

Noam Schechter is an Israeli graphic designer specialising in typography and book design, and a senior lecturer in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem.
