Neringa forest architecture tours
Forest as a Space
December 26th, 12 pm

Meeting point: Preila bus station

In his tour The Forest as Space architect and educator Anton Shramkov will explore the spatiality of the forest. The forest is understood here as a space with its laws and spatial compositions with immediate influence on us.

Shramkov was born in Moscow and graduated in architecture from the Moscow Institute of Architecture. He worked as a lecturer in Russia and Sweden. He has been living in Preila since 2007.

The tours are planned to facilitate conversation on nature, forests and cultivate inquiry and discussion about the unique juncture between ecological, political/managerial, recreational and industrial narratives associated with the Curonian woods, landscape and the built environment.

The programme is implemented as part of the ongoing Neringa Forest Architecture (NFA) project at Nida Art Colony, developed within the framework of NERINGA - Lithuanian Capital of Culture 2021. The project is co-funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture, Nordic Culture Point and NERINGA- Lithuanian Capital of Culture 2021.
