The third stage of the international project "Kaunas and Grenoble – Architectural Signs of the 21st Century. What’s Next?"

Representatives of Vilnius Academy of Arts had an exceptional opportunity to visit Aalto University in Finland. 20.09.2024

This week the Dean of the Faculty Jonas Audėjaitis, Vice-Dean Inara Klimienė, Project Manager Neringa Grigarienė, Head of the Department of Architecture Rimantas Giedraitis, and five students of architecture had an exceptional opportunity to visit Aalto University in Finland. The guests were warmly welcomed by the Head of the Architecture Department Jenni Reuter and her team of professors.

The students of the Kaunas faculty of the Academy of Arts are carrying out their diploma works in various European countries - their first assignments took them to Helsinki. 20.09.2024

On 17 September 2024, the Dean of the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA), Prof. Jonas Audėjaitis and Neringa Grigarienė, together with two fifth-year Architecture students, visited Helsinki, Finland. During this visit, they got acquainted with the design tasks of the final thesis, which were presented by the famous Finnish architect, Professor Rainer Mahlamäki.

The third stage of the international project "Kaunas and Grenoble – Architectural Signs of the 21st Century. What’s Next?" took place at Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts. During this stage, students from VAA Kaunas Faculty's architecture program presented their project ideas for the city of Grenoble.
The presentation was attended by a joint evaluation committee from Grenoble School of Architecture (École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble) and Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts, who were delighted with the architectural project ideas generated by the students.
Committee members unanimously agreed that the semester had been productive and that the results exceeded expectations. The experience gained will continue to be used in training highly qualified architects.
Project "Kaunas and Grenoble – Architectural Sings of the 21st Century. What’s Next?" is part of the Lithuanian season in France.
