Vilnius Academy of Arts showcase at Stockholm Furniture Fair featuring the results of a creative workshop "Héritages" with Jean-Baptiste Auvray.

The main axis of the workshop was Auvray's creative project "Héritages", where the designer in collaboration with upholstery masters transformed inherited historical chairs into soft, playful, freshly coloured upholstered furniture without losing their original structure. The eleven young designers had to choose an old chair that was somehow linked to their personal history - their parents, grandparents, summer house, or childhood. During the spring semester of 2024 with the help of their supervisor, designer Marija Puipaitė, the students from different courses transformed these chairs into contemporary and comfortable upholstered furniture of their own design. Each refurbished chair contains a piece of the designer's character and history.
