5 days profession oriented training for design students

WHO ARE WELCOME?
All 2nd-4th year BA students from different design programs: product, graphic, fashion, and interior design who sometimes feel lost in their career and would like to strengthen their competencies in portfolio creation, communication, and self-representation. 

ABOUT THE TRAINING
Are you a mission-driven creative maker or a future designer? Then the Design Innovation Centre at Vilnius Academy of Arts & Dutch design connector Ingrid van der Wacht invites you to a magical mid-winter week workshop at Nida Art Colony. This training will have a hands-on, head-off, heart and guts-on, super interactive approach.

Packed with personal leadership and collaboration tools, explorations, and exchange of ideas, the activities are focused on design for a Circular & Biobased Society including economy & culture. This workshop overviews the creatives and designers on a mission in the world today as well as the inspiration that comes from the worldwide creative community including yourself.

WHO IS INGRID?
Ingrid van der Wacht is a conscious connector of Flourishing and Fairness. In her company Factor I she has developed nationally and internationally known design-driven projects, demonstrating to the world the immense value of design for creating a fair world.  In 2002 Ingrid started working as a freelancer on a festival connecting and supporting designers - Dutch Design Week. Its’ audience stretches from design professionals to innovative design-driven companies and organisations, as well as enthusiastic believers and fans of design with a purpose. Topics Ingrid focuses on are: engagement through co-design, eco-consciousness, and consultation.

Free for Vilnius Academy of Arts students.

  • 4 nights accommodation at Nida Art Colony (shared bedroom & shower) *free for Vilnius Academy of Arts students, 16 EUR per night/person for others)

January 28, 2025 (Tuesday) Get to know yourself
Defining your different talents and identifying values. Game night.

January 29, 2025 (Wednesday) Defining Missions for a flourishing future
Breakfast at the seaside. Short pitch moments where the students will bring some inspiring stories.

January 30, 2025 (Thursday) Future Actions Planning
Define what is needed to complete and implement your plans. Rehearsal for Friday’s presentation.

January 31, 2025 (Friday) Final presentation and goodbyes
