Aim

The aim of the second cycle programme in Photography and Media Art is a highly qualified independent artist –researcher capable of artistic research in the field of contemporary art and realizing a creative project using the most advanced media. The main focus of the programme is encouraging creative thinking in the realm of contemporary art with regard of the role of animation, photography and media in the contemporary culture.

Profile of study programme

The Master of Arts in photography and media is a highly qualified independent media artist able to conduct artistic research, develop interdisciplinary concepts, organise, handle and implement innovative art projects, while being aware of the peculiarities of the research field and its relations with other arts. The holder of the MA degree demonstrates the ability to apply new media technologies, conceptualise ideas, disseminate art in the professional and sociocultural context, has good command of art management principles and a legal system of artistic activities.

Occupational profiles of graduates

The holder of Master’s degree is determined to pursue artistic career domestically and internationally. He/she may develop his/her individual creativity, work in the higher education system, engage in doctorate studies, work in creative industries (TV and film studios, advertising companies) and found creative enterprises.
