We are happy to announce that an exhibition of the famous Croatian designer Boris Ljubičić “New Look Croatia" will be opened on September 4th at 5 pm at the Klaipeda faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts (Darzu st. 18, Klaipeda).

On the same day, before the opening of the exhibition, at 2 pm, Boris Ljubičić will give a lecture in which he will introduce his works and discuss the trends of design development. The lecture will take place at the Klaipeda faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts.

Boris Ljubičić is one of most famous Croatian designers, who works if the fields of visual identity, posters, TV and Web design. One of his bravest projects is creation of the visual identity for the Republic of Croatia, which is a comparatively young and not very well known country. This project, which started in 1990, was a completely new idea of visual identity, which integrated economy, media, advertising, culture and other elements into a unique and easily recognizable visual code of Croatia. For this purpose designer used two his favorite objects - a square and a circle. Many of Boris Ljubičić's works have been internationally awarded, exhibited, published and evaluated as a Croatian visual identity, perceived as original and distinctive in the global world of design and visual communications. 

 “New Look Croatia" exhibition will present this concept of the visual identity of the Republic of Croatia. The exhibition will be opened by Charge´d´Affaires a.i. at Croatian Embassy in Lithuania Krešimir Kedmenec and by the Mayor of Klaipėda Vytautas Grubliauskas.
